On 10 December 2016, OPEC Member Countries and ten non-OPEC oil producing countries together wrote a new chapter in oil history with the adoption of the ‘Declaration of Cooperation’.
The first OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting, held on 10 December 2016 in Vienna, witnessed the birth of the historic ‘Declaration of Cooperation’.
The ‘Charter of Cooperation’ was endorsed by 24 countries, including OPEC Members, on 2 July 2019 in Vienna, Austria.
The 170th (Extraordinary) Meeting of the OPEC Conference, held on the sidelines of the IEF 15 ministerial meeting in Algiers in September 2016, paved the way to the landmark ‘Declaration of Cooperation’ in December of that year.
